At Multimodal Logistics Taskforce, a conference on Tuesday 19th of March in Barcelona ESEP4Freight joined forces with FP5-TRANS4M-R, the complementary EU-Rail funded project to develop innovations to establish rail freight as the backbone of a low-emission, resilient European logistics chain which fulfills end-user requirements to full satisfaction.
Felix Hildebrand from HACON introduced the Seamless Rail Freight objectives inside FP5-TRANS4M-R and Celestino Sánchez from Eurnex e. V. explained the project‘s approach of ESEP4Freight, presenting the overall concept and the six modules of the Web Platform: Interactive Map, Route Viewer, Schedule Viewer, CO2 calculator, Contract Toolbox, and the Match-making Tool.
Results and developments from each project shall be used in the other project in order to maximize the impact of both projects. Find more details and the slides of the event at their homepage.
